Love seeing this discussion on both sides. Anyone who works or competes with animals knows you can’t win or be successful if your animal partner isn’t fit for the task, well cared for and UNDERSTOOD. Those who don’t live in proximity to animals or understand them can absolutely benefit from expanding their awareness. Everyone benefits, especially the animals.

In years past, our family (kids, grand kids) attended the stock show, but Denver has become such a crime ridden city that we won’t be returning. Last year one of our vehicles was broken into while we were there. Denver, and some of the surrounding communities, have become real dives and are not safe.

the only credit I give this guy is that they wait for 6 years to introduce the horse to bucking competitions. the race horse industry could learn something here.

I get the math but you forgot to include the traveling and everything involved prior to and after the 8 seconds. Even rock stars admit that it's not the 3 hours on stage that stresses them mentally and physically but rather all the traveling and all the preparation and environmental factors.... Which add up to several hundred hours in just a year. 14 years is too long for bucking stock to perform.

Just recently moved to Colorado. Yesterday, I took a history tour of the Brown Palace hotel and the guide told me of the show and I also saw the cowboy sculpture near the hotel. Based on this video and what the tour guide told me, I'm definitely making plans to go next year. Looks like an amazing event!

Y’all need a good trick shooter for your show. I’d contact Key Brothers Wild West Show. They also have a really good gunfight stunt show, where they blow stuff up and get “shot” off their horses. Pretty neat stuff.

I was there and it is not real westerns like it used to be. Get better people that understand the real west way not city people running the show. It is supposed to teach the way it was not currant ways. I am a senior and been in horses most of my life and the way you treat horse people like they do not matter. Horse people are going to be import to the future treat them better.

With the exception of the Draft Horse and Mule show stock show was fantastic this year. Almost back to pre-covid years. Thanks for everything.
